Eifman Ballet will tour in Europe in the first half of June. The Company will perform in Bratislava (June 2 and 3), Budapest (June 5 and 6), Belgrade (June 8 and 9) and Vienna (June 12 and 13). The ballets Anna Karenina and Rodin will be presented to the European public.

The audience of the Austrian capital, where Eifman Ballet will make its debut, will see Boris Eifman’s production about the French sculptor. The performance in Vienna on June 12 will be the part of the cultural project “Russian Day in the World”, in which the leading national artists perform at the prestigious international venues.

In other cities of the tour the Company will present Anna Karenina. This ballet has never been danced in Budapest and Belgrade before. The famous European venues will host Eifman Ballet. In particular, the performance of Anna Karenina in Bratislava will be held at the Slovak National Theatre, where in the 2014–2015 season the Company triumphantly premiered the ballets Rodin and Up & Down. In Budapest, Eifman Ballet will be hosted by the Hungarian State Opera House. The Kodály Philharmonic Orchestra will accompany the dancers. The Belgrade performances will be held at Sava Centar – the largest concert hall in the former Yugoslavia. Rodin to be premiered at the famous Burgtheater – one of the oldest theatres in Europe.

After the European tour, the Company will return to St. Petersburg, where a series of 16 performances dedicated to the anniversary of Boris Eifman will start on June 17. It will end on July 22, the day of the 70th anniversary of Eifman, with a gala concert. All performances will take place at the Alexandrinsky Theatre.
