The first St. Petersburg performances of Eifman Ballet in the 2015–2016 season will be held in the second half of August at the Alexandrinsky Theatre. The Company will present the ballets Beyond Sin (August 20), Requiem (August 21) and Onegin (August 22).
Eifman Ballet triumphantly completed its big tour in Canada and the United States. The tour took place from April 15 to June 14. Within two months the Company crossed North America from East to West, having started the tour in Montreal and finished it in Los Angeles. In all the cities Eifman Ballet enjoyed an incredible success.
On May 22, 23, and 24, the St. Petersburg Eifman Ballet company will show, for the first time in New York, its new ballet Up & Down that takes audience to the volcanic Jazz Age. The New York premiere will take place at the famous New York City Center, as part of the Company’s big North American tour.
Eifman Ballet company is preparing to start a big tour in Canada and the United States that will take place from April 15 to June 14, 2015. In April, the Company will perform in Montreal, Toronto, and Minneapolis. In May, Eifman Ballet will visit Boston, Chicago, New York, Washington, and in June – Costa Mesa and Los Angeles. The upcoming tour is going to be the longest North American tour of the St. Petersburg company in its history.
Eifman Ballet soloists Sergey Volobuev, Oleg Gabyshev and Dmitry Fisher were announced today as the laureates of the 2014 President of Russia’s Prize for young culture professionals.
