A series of events dedicated to the anniversary of Boris Eifman, Artistic Director of the Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg, People's Artist of Russia, will be held in July in St. Petersburg, Russia. On July 22 the world-renowned choreographer will celebrate his 70th anniversary. We are pleased to present the description of the events dedicated to this memorable date.
Dear Friends, today, on June 30, 2016, ticket sales open for the Moscow premiere of the ballet Tchaikovsky. PRO et CONTRA that will take place on 4,5 and 6 October at the New stage of the Bolshoi Theatre. The performances will be presented within the International Chereshnevy Les Open-Art Festival.
Eifman Ballet will tour in Europe in the first half of June. The Company will perform in Bratislava (June 2 and 3), Budapest (June 5 and 6), Belgrade (June 8 and 9) and Vienna (June 12 and 13). The ballets Anna Karenina and Rodin will be presented to the European public.
On May 24, the Alexandrinsky Theatre will host the premiere of Boris Eifman's Tchaikovsky. PRO et CONTRA. The audience will see the result of the choreographer’s years-long contemplation of the great composer’s personality and creative world. The ballet was set to the music of P. I. Tchaikovsky. The premiere will take place shortly before the anniversary of Boris Eifman, who will celebrate his 70th anniversary on July 22.
On Saturday, April 16, Eifman Ballet finished its tour in Armenia and Georgia. During the Transcaucasian tour, which started on April 12, the Сompany visited Yerevan and Tbilisi, where presented one of its best known productions – Anna Karenina. Georgian and Armenian audience embraced the ballet art of modern Russia.
