On October 4, 5 and 6 the Moscow premiere of the Boris Eifman's ballet Tchaikovsky. PRO et CONTRA will take place on the New Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre. The performances will be presented within the International Chereshnevy Les Open-Art Festival and will become one of the significant events of Eifman Ballet's jubilee 40th season that was opened in the end of August.
Eifman Ballet will return to London Coliseum 6th – 10th December with the London premiere of Boris Eifman’s ballet Up & Down featuring the invigorating music of George Gershwin, Franz Schubert and Alban Berg. Taking place in the magnificent Jazz Age – the piece evokes the unstoppable feast of life; the era of freedom, sensuality, and hedonism.
On August 22, Eifman Ballet opened its 40th season. After the hiatus the Company started rehearsals of a new choreographic version of the ballet Russian Hamlet – one of the most famous works of Boris Eifman, which was created in 1999 and dropped out of the repertory about five years ago.
